Job summary

Sellick Partnership is representing a leading Manchester firm seeking a Family Partner to lead a specialist team. You will manage a sophisticated divorce, financial settlements and children's matters for high-net-worth clients, while mentoring junior lawyers and driving business development in the Manchester office.

We are looking for an experienced Family lawyer operating at Partner level or ready for the next step, with a track record of client relationships and a commercially minded approach

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in Family Law.
• Strong track record advising high-net-worth clients.
• Technically confident across complex financial and children matters.
• Experience supervising and mentoring junior lawyers.
• Commercially minded with a strong business development focus.
• Confident building long-term client and professional relationships.
• Excellent communication skills, empathy and sound judgement.
• Operating at Partner level or ready for next step as Legal Director/Senior Associate.

Responsibilities

• Manage a sophisticated portfolio of family work including divorce, financial settlements and children matters.
• Supervise, mentor and develop junior lawyers within the team.
• Build and maintain relationships with clients and professional referrers.
• Contribute to business development and growth of the Manchester office.

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Family Partner to join a highly regarded and specialist Family team in Manchester.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Family lawyer to take a leading role within a high-quality team, advising high-net-worth individuals and families while helping to grow the practice and develop junior talent.

The Opportunity

You'll manage a sophisticated portfolio of work while building strong relationships with clients and professional referrers.

Your workload is likely to include:

• Divorce and separation
• High-value and complex financial settlements
• Children matters, including relocation cases
• Cohabitation disputes
• Agricultural and family-related matters
• Managing your own portfolio of high-value clients
• Supervising, mentoring and developing junior lawyers
• Building and maintaining strong client and referrer relationships
• Contributing to business development and the continued growth of the Manchester office

About You

• Extensive experience in Family Law
• Strong track record advising high-net-worth clients
• Technically confident across complex financial and children matters
• Experience supervising and mentoring junior lawyers
• Commercially minded with a strong business development focus
• Confident building long-term client and professional relationships

• Already operating at Partner level, or a Legal Director/Senior Associate ready for the next step
