Job summary

Lc Legal is seeking an Employment Associate to join its London team. The role offers hybrid working with at least two office days per week and a chance to handle a real mix of advisory, transactional and contentious work from day one.

You will have UK-qualified status with 4+ years PQE and a passion for business development, client management, and delivering commercially focused employment solutions. The department supports career progression and a collaborative culture.

Qualifications

• UK-qualified employment lawyer with 4+ years PQE across advisory, transactional and contentious work.
• Willingness to develop business and grow own practice.
• Strong advocate and negotiator, commercially minded and client-focused.

Responsibilities

• Maintain real client contact from day one with day-to-day responsibility for own matters.
• Handle a broad mix of contentious and advisory work including discrimination, whistleblowing, TUPE and board-level disputes.
• Supervise junior fee earners and co-manage client relationships with partners.
• Influence the direction of the department as experience grows.

Employment Associate | London | Hybrid

We're working with a well-regarded London employment team, ranked in Chambers UK and the Legal 500, who are looking for an Associate (4+ years PQE) to join their purpose-driven practice.

The team has a strong record in the higher courts, including cases that have established new points of employment law. Their clients range from listed companies to organisations with a strong social purpose.

The Role

• Real client contact from day one, with day-to-day responsibility for your own matters


• A broad mix of contentious and advisory work: discrimination, whistleblowing, board-level disputes, TUPE, complex investigations, restructures, collective and trade union issues, and employment status


• Supervising junior fee earners and co-managing client relationships with partners


• A genuine say in the direction of the department as your experience grows

About You

• UK-qualified employment lawyer with 4+ years’ PQE, ideally across advisory, transactional and contentious work


• Someone who enjoys business development and wants to grow their own practice


• A strong advocate and negotiator who is commercially minded, client-focused and happy to challenge the status quo when it helps the work


• Motivated by the work and by making a difference
