Job summary

The University of Manchester is seeking an Employee Relations Advisor to manage a portfolio of formal ER casework, including disciplinary, grievance, dignity at work, absence management, whistleblowing and capability matters. You will work with ER Partners, managers and employee representatives to ensure fair, transparent and timely processes.

Qualifications

• Educated to degree level and/or CIPD membership.
• Experience with ER processes and employment law.
• Ability to handle confidential, sensitive casework.
• Experience in a large, unionised organisation.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of ER casework across disciplinary, grievance, dignity at work, absence management, whistleblowing and capability.
• Supervise administrators in formal casework administration and maintain service levels.
• Deputise for ER Partners in their absence and act as initial contact for queries.
• Support design, organisation and delivery of ER training and related activities.
• Produce monthly management information from tracking systems.
