Our client is seeking an Employee Relations Specialist to provide guidance and support to staff and managers on various casework and employee relations matters. The role involves ensuring legislative compliance, promoting sound employee relations, and supporting managers through coaching and HR training.

The Person

Qualifications:

• CIPD membership or equivalent

Experience:

• Experience in HR within local government or public sector
• Experience in complex, multisite, unionized environments
• Advising on organizational change, restructures, redundancies
• Handling complex employee relations issues

Knowledge:

• Partnership with trade unions
• Employee relations policies and procedures
• Employment law, ET claims, best practices
• Equality and diversity issues
• Training materials development and HR workshops
• Safeguarding in employee relations
• ICT skills including Microsoft Office

Skills:

• Coaching managers in people management
• Providing tailored advice within risk management frameworks
