Job Overview
Parker Aerospace, part of Parker Hannifin with annual global sales of $15 billion, is a leader in aerospace research, design, manufacturing, and service of flight control, hydraulic, fuel inerting, fluid conveyance, thermal management, and engine systems.
The Ansty manufacturing facility, housing around 850 employees managed by the Ansty HR team, is pivotal to the group and covers all employee lifecycle matters.
In this newly developed role, you will support the Site HR Manager, working with leaders and managers across a diverse client group that has recently undergone significant change. Your focus will include Talent, Succession, L&D, DE&I, and Employee Engagement initiatives. You will also manage four direct reports, including the site HR Administrator and three Operational HR Specialists.
Your Responsibilities
- Lead the HR Specialist team and HR Administrator to deliver effective HR solutions.
- Develop and implement HR SLAs to ensure high-quality service delivery.
- Manage employee relations casework, including disciplinary, grievance, performance, and absence management, handling complex cases as needed.
- Partner with senior leaders to build people capability, manage talent, and support organizational goals aligned with Parker WIN Strategy.
- Lead annual HR processes such as goal setting, performance reviews, talent discussions, and compensation reviews.
- Support site HR projects focused on engagement and D&I, including designing engagement plans.
- Address people-related challenges through action plans, improving attendance, retention, skills gaps, and fostering inclusivity.
- Coach managers and HR team members on HR policies and procedures, ensuring compliance and upskilling.
- Develop the HR team members' skills and capabilities.
- Produce and analyze monthly people metrics to identify trends.
Candidate Profile
- Level 7 or higher qualified HR Generalist with extensive experience in manufacturing or engineering sectors.
- Strong knowledge of UK Employment Law and ability to apply pragmatic and legally sound HR solutions.
- Experience in developing and motivating teams within a shared service environment.
- Proficiency in managing complex ER cases and delegating tasks effectively.
- Commercially aware with the ability to manage diverse stakeholder groups across different organizational levels.
