Job summary

Schools’ Choice is recruiting an experienced HR Advisor to join the busy People Services team on an initial 3-month contract. The ideal candidate will be CIPD-qualified with strong Employee Relations experience to impact performance and policy adherence.

You will advise managers on ER matters, support performance management, and help drive a positive workplace culture with trade union collaboration. Hybrid working is offered with an immediate start.

Qualifications

• CIPD qualified (minimum Level 5 or equivalent).
• Proven experience handling complex Employee Relations cases.
• Strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practice.
• Experience advising managers on performance management and people policies.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience working with Trade Unions.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality HR advice and guidance to managers on a wide range of employee relations cases.
• Support performance management processes and advise on policy interpretation and best practice.
• Ensure risks associated with employee relations matters are managed effectively and professionally.
• Build and maintain positive working relationships with Trade Union representatives.
• Manage and support team members, providing direction, coaching, and development.
• Support People Services Business Partners and the Employee Relations Lead with organisational change initiatives, including redundancies, service efficiency reviews, and changes to terms and conditions.
