Job summary

Navantia UK is seeking an Employee Relations Advisor at Methil, with travel as needed, to shape a supportive, fair workplace across our unionised sites.

You will be the ER go-to, resolving conflicts, managing grievances, and partnering with unions while ensuring policy consistency and legal compliance. The role also involves training and investigations, with insights shared to senior leaders.

Qualifications

• Experience in a unionised manufacturing environment is essential.
• Strong communication, mediation and problem-solving skills.
• Solid knowledge of UK employment law and ER best practice.

Responsibilities

• Support colleagues and leaders with conflict resolution, grievances, and disciplinary matters.
• Partner with union representatives to maintain constructive relationships.
• Champion consistent policy application and UK employment law.
• Deliver ER training on issues, conflict management, and policy awareness.
• Lead investigations into workplace concerns with fairness.
• Track ER trends and provide insights to senior leaders.
