Job summary

BAM is seeking an experienced Employee Relations Advisor to provide expert ER guidance across a major multi-site infrastructure project. You will support managers with end-to-end case management, maintain ER records, and ensure compliance with governance standards.

The role requires strong UK employment law knowledge, client-facing collaboration, and the ability to operate in a complex JV environment while upholding BAM values.

Qualifications

• Experience in employee relations case management within complex environments.
• Strong knowledge of UK employment law and employee relations best practice.
• Proven experience managing end-to-end complex ER cases (disciplinary, grievance, investigation).
• Confidence in coaching, influencing and challenging managers at all levels.
• Experience maintaining accurate ER records and using HR systems.
• Ability to manage high-volume ER activity in multisite settings with shifting priorities.
• High levels of professionalism, integrity and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert ER advice, coaching and end-to-end case management to managers across ER matters (disciplinary, grievance, absence, performance, redundancy, TUPE).
• Ensure advice is compliant with BAM policies and governance requirements and supports risk management.
• Manage cases fairly and consistently, guiding conduct and compliance issues on site.
• Collaborate with HRBPs, Compliance and Trade Unions; support engagement activities during workforce changes.
• Own and administer the BAM ER recording system and ensure accurate case notes and outcomes.
• Analyse ER data to identify trends and insights for proactive interventions and governance.
• Deliver manager-focused advisory services across a multisite construction environment.
