Job summary

Balfour Beatty is seeking an Employment Relations (ER) Advisor for the MEH project in the UK. You will lead employee relations activities, liaise with unions and the client Employment Affairs Unit, and ensure policies comply with employment regulations.

You will also support the ER team in discipline/grievance cases and help foster a strong Nuclear Safety Culture on site. UK right to work is required and BPSS or higher clearance may be needed.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent is required.
• CIPD qualification preferred.
• Proven track record in large nuclear or similar regulated projects (e.g., major EPC).
• Ability to obtain security clearance (BPSS or higher).

Responsibilities

• Maintain a positive employee relations culture across the MEH project through proactive consultation with recognised trade unions.
• Lead MEH external discussions on sector agreements and social covenant.
• Ensure MEH compliance with relevant employment regulations and labour laws.
• Monitor changes in legislation and ensure people policies remain compliant.
• Provide reports and metrics to management and liaise with client Employment Affairs Unit.
• Support ER team on discipline and grievance cases and investigations.
• Lead and model a Nuclear Safety Culture on site.
