Job summary

Fusion People is recruiting an HR Advisor for a Bournemouth-based role. Working with operational managers to deliver high-quality employee relations services, you’ll handle ER casework with support from senior HR professionals.

The position is a temporary contract, 9-5, Monday to Friday, initially through to 27 March 2027. You’ll provide expert advice on complex ER processes, support leaders through cases, ensure compliance, review policies, and mentor HR staff to strengthen ER capability within

Qualifications

• Experience working in Human Resources.
• Knowledge of employment legislation and statutory policies.
• Knowledge of HR policies and processes.
• Ability to persuade, influence and change behaviour.
• Ability to plan and manage own workload effectively.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert ER advice on complex processes and policies, covering absence, grievances, disciplinary, and performance management.
• Support and coach senior leaders, managers, and Governing Board members through management cases.
• Proactively manage ER casework to ensure compliance with legislation and procedures.
• Review and update policies; create templates for consistent ER case handling.
• Deliver training, mentoring, and guidance to managers and HR staff to boost ER capability.
• Build strong relationships across the organisation to support high-quality HR services.
• Maintain relationships with Trade Unions, supporting case resolutions.
• Design and monitor ER metrics such as absence, leave, and turnover.
• Act as Investigating Officer when required to avoid conflicts of interest.
