Job summary

Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an Employee Relations Officer on a permanent basis. The role supports managers with sickness absence management, providing practical advice and ensuring policy implementation with care and empathy.

Candidates should hold a Level 3 HR qualification, demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and be prepared to train further. A driving licence and access to a vehicle for business use are required.

Responsibilities

• Manage and monitor employee sickness absence, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.
• Support managers with timely interventions for short- and long-term sickness absence.
• Provide professional advice and support to managers on sickness absence and related paperwork.
• Liaise with Health and Wellbeing services and occupational health as necessary.
• Advise on best practices and legal requirements related to sickness absence.
