Job summary

GSL Education is seeking a proactive Teaching Assistant to join one of our partner Primary schools in Newham. You’ll support pupils in early years and key stages, assisting with group activities and 1:1 SEN support.

Ideal candidates are collaborative, patient, and communicative, with safeguarding awareness and DBS clearance. The role starts ASAP, Monday to Friday, 08:30 to 15:30, term-time with potential long-term opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience as Teaching Assistant.
• Ability to provide 1:1 support to pupils with SEN.
• Strong communication with children, staff and parents.
• Understanding safeguarding and DBS checks.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the class teacher to motivate students to reach their potential.
• Provide 1:1 support to pupils with Special Educational Needs.
• Help pupils build confidence and self-esteem through attentive listening and interventions.
