Job summary

TeacherActive Limited is seeking a SEND Teaching Assistant for a Newark-based primary school in NG24. You will support children with SEND, helping them access activities and develop confidence in a warm, inclusive environment.

The role focuses on building relationships, promoting independence and well-being, and working closely with teachers to meet individual needs. A patient, nurturing approach and relevant TA qualification or experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children with SEND.
• A patient, nurturing and caring approach.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• A relevant Teaching Assistant qualification or experience.
• An enhanced Child and Adult DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply.

Responsibilities

• Supporting children with SEND individually and in small groups.
• Helping pupils access and engage with learning activities.
