Job summary

TeacherActive Limited is seeking a SEND Teaching Assistant to work in a fantastic SEND school in Newark, NG24. You will support pupils with SEND, helping them access learning and build confidence in a nurturing environment.

The role offers flexible local placements with weekly pay through PAYE, a dedicated consultant, and opportunities to develop skills across a range of schools. You will contribute to pupils' emotional well-being and learn to tailor support to individual needs.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children with SEND.
• Patient, nurturing and caring approach.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• A relevant Teaching Assistant qualification or experience.
• Enhanced DBS on Update Service or willingness to apply.

Pay: £90–£105 per day

TeacherActive is looking for caring SEND Teaching Assistants to work in a fantastic SEND school in Newark.

The school has amazing facilities and a very welcoming, supportive environment. You will work alongside a supportive team to help children feel secure, included and ready to learn.

As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will adapt your support to each child’s needs, build trusting relationships and celebrate their progress. A patient, nurturing approach will be central to helping pupils develop confidence and independence.

Your role will include:

• Supporting children with SEND individually and in small groups.
• Helping pupils access and engage with learning activities.
• Building positive relationships and encouraging independence.
• Supporting emotional well-being and positive behaviour.
• Working closely with teaching staff to meet individual needs.

The ideal SEN Teaching Assistant will have:

• Experience supporting children with SEND.
• A patient, nurturing and caring approach.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• A relevant Teaching Assistant qualification or experience.
• An enhanced Child and Adult DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply.
