Job summary

Reeson Education is seeking a compassionate Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a KS1 pupil with SEN in Bolton. The role requires patience, empathy and a proactive approach to learning and development.

You will work closely with the class teacher to implement engaging activities, support academic tasks, personal growth and social skills, and help maintain a calm, supportive classroom environment. Immediate start for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Teaching Assistant, ideally KS1 or SEN.
• Patient, empathetic and adaptable approach.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Knowledge of safeguarding and child welfare practices.
• Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualifications desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualised 1:1 support to a KS1 pupil with SEN.
• Work with the class teacher to implement learning activities.
• Support the pupil in academic tasks, personal development and social skills.
• Assist with classroom organisation, behaviour management and resources.
• Build trusting relationships and be a reliable Teaching Assistant.
