Historic England offers a fantastic opportunity to join us as an Emerging Talent Trainee Placement - Participation Project Assistant.
This is a part-time, 18 hours per week, 8-week paid placement as part of the Emerging Talent Programme. You will receive a bursary of £454 per week (pro rata for part-time is £227). We offer hybrid working, based in the Bristol office and from home.

The placements target young people aged 18 to 30 from diverse backgrounds, including:
Purpose of the Placement: To support the Participation Manager in setting up and managing the History in the Making (HITM) programme and enhance youth engagement activities.
The role involves assisting with the grant scheme, engaging with youth panels, supporting team meetings, and contributing to youth engagement strategies. Shadowing opportunities and site visits may be included.
Key responsibilities include:
Events and meetings: A Welcome Event in London on 24 July 2025, with ongoing team and partner meetings, mostly online, and fortnightly team days in London.
