About Financial Innovation for Impact

Financial Innovation for Impact (Fii) is an international, not-for-profit organisation dedicated to the advancement of scalable, sustainable, and evidence-based financial and regulatory innovation.

We collaborate with academic institutions, digital finance ecosystem partners, and other stakeholders to generate knowledge and apply data-driven insights to inform fintech development and decision-making by central banks, securities regulators, and financial authorities.

Fii conducts research, develops digital tools, and offers capacity building through technical assistance to benefit financially excluded, marginalized, and disadvantaged populations.

Fii emerged from the Cambridge Centre for Alternative Finance (CCAF), incorporated in the UK in 2023. CCAF is a research centre at the University of Cambridge Judge Business School, focusing on technology-enabled financial innovation and supporting evidence-based decision-making.

Fii works in close partnership with CCAF as a Principal Collaborator, leveraging a global network of expertise, academic relationships, and data science capabilities to create impact in the countries where we operate.

Your role

We are seeking three highly motivated and skilled Project Managers to oversee the coordination, implementation, and successful delivery of Fii programmes and projects.

As Project Manager, you will coordinate and drive projects aimed at transforming regulatory and financial innovation. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and external partners to implement innovative solutions and leverage emerging technologies. Your responsibilities include collaborating with financial authorities, technology vendors, and the Cambridge Regulatory Innovation Hub to ensure smooth project execution, adherence to timelines, and achievement of objectives. You will manage multiple projects simultaneously, facilitate technical assistance, coordinate partnerships, and promote engagement within the regulatory ecosystem.

You will be part of the Project Management Office (PMO), providing centralized support for project planning, execution, and monitoring, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and with continuous learning and improvement.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and manage project plans, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams, ensuring effective communication and accountability throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Track key performance indicators, OKRs, and similar metrics.
  • Facilitate procurement, project kickoff, and iterative implementation.
  • Mitigate risks, identify issues proactively, and develop contingency plans.
  • Foster a collaborative, inclusive work environment that promotes knowledge sharing, innovation, and professional growth.
  • Ensure project deliverables meet quality standards and align with Fii’s strategic goals.
  • Define, implement, and maintain standardized project management frameworks.
  • Provide teams with necessary tools, resources, and training.
Requirements and qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Project Management, Business Administration, Computer Science, or related fields.
  • Proven experience as a Project Manager, preferably in technology, finance, or regulatory sectors.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities. Understanding of fintech regulation, digital finance, and digital tools development.
  • Excellent project management skills, including planning, organizing, and overseeing execution.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills for effective stakeholder collaboration.
  • Experience leading teams, motivating, and guiding project teams.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, creative thinking, and practical solutions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to articulate ideas, present findings, and influence stakeholders.
  • Fluency in English; additional languages like Spanish, French, Ukrainian, or Bahasa are desirable.
  • Project management certifications (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2).
  • Experience in fintech, financial regulation, content analysis, data science, or consulting.
  • Experience developing technology solutions.
  • Familiarity with different cultures.
  • Proficiency in additional languages.

Candidates should embody both technical skills and soft skills such as emotional intelligence, communication, empathy, creativity, problem-solving, adaptability, and flexibility to succeed in CCAF programmes.
