About the role:

You will be working as an Emergency Nurse Practitioner / Paramedic and will be responsible for:

  • Autonomously assess, manage and treat patients
  • Provide treatment to patients with a range of illnesses and injuries
  • Prescribe medication as an independent non-medical prescriber or using PGDs
  • Assess and treat patients aged 2 and above
  • Communicate highly complex and sensitive information to patients, carers, and other staff
  • To lead, motivate and support team members in the facilitation of professional and clinical development

Who we’re looking for;

All applicants for the role of Emergency Nurse Practitioner / Paramedic must have the following:

  • Registered Nurse and valid NMC pin or Paramedic with HCPC registration- with no restrictions
  • Full eligibility to live/ work in the UK
  • Evidence of continuing professional education and training at Masters level or completed level 7 module in advanced practice
  • At least 2 years UK experience in a similar setting ( emergency care, autonomously within a GP surgery)
  • Independent Prescriber (or on a pathway to complete)
  • Experience of caring for patients aged 2 and above
  • Paediatric Nurse Practitioner qualification desirable
  • Competent in physical examination of patients of all ages.
  • Ability to prioritise workload

Person Specification: All applicants for the role of Emergency Nurse Practitioner / Paramedic must have a valid NMC nursing pin or HCPC registration and must have full eligibility to live and work in the UK. At least 2 years experience in a similar setting and evidence of continuing professional education and training at Masters level is essential for this position.
