Abbott Vascular UK is recruiting for a Clinical Specialist to join our Coronary team! This role is ideal for recent graduates in Biomedical Sciences or similar fields who are looking to start their careers in the medical devices industry.

The Clinical Specialist will provide operational support during procedures and training to support strategic, operational, and quality objectives within the assigned territory (South Wales/West Midlands/East Anglia/East Midlands).

Key responsibilities:

  • Support and drive employee and customer clinical training and sign-off, creating bespoke training programs based on customer needs.
  • Maintain up-to-date technical knowledge of Abbott therapies and technologies, along with understanding of the healthcare market and clinical studies supporting Abbott products.
  • Support physicians during clinical procedures, providing primary technical assistance and escalating when necessary.
  • Assist in product implementation and customer education.
  • Conduct product presentations and address technical questions.

Requirements:

  • BSc degree in Biomedical Science or a relevant discipline.
  • Experience in a cath lab or similar clinical role is preferred but not required.
  • Strong knowledge of cardiac anatomy and physiology.
  • Familiarity with cath lab and operating room procedures is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Highly motivated, IT-savvy, and willing to travel extensively (driver’s license required).
