Job summary

Facilitate Search Ltd is recruiting on behalf of a leading facilities management provider for an Emergency Lighting Technician to cover prestigious commercial sites in Birmingham. The permanent, day-shift role offers £32,000 salary with overtime and no on-call requirements, along with ongoing training and career development.

You will maintain, test and replace emergency lighting systems, ensure regulatory compliance, and keep accurate maintenance records while delivering high-quality service.

Qualifications

• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (essential).
• Experience maintaining, testing and lighting replacements.
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
• Good Health & Safety knowledge and procedures.
• Excellent communication and customer service abilities.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine testing and inspection of emergency lighting systems.
• Replace or upgrade emergency lighting where required.
• Diagnose faults and resolve issues efficiently.
• Complete planned preventative maintenance and reactive works.
• Ensure compliance with current regulations and Health & Safety standards.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and reports.
• Collaborate with site teams and stakeholders.
