Job summary

Total Facilities Recruitment Limited is recruiting a qualified electrical maintenance engineer in the United Kingdom. You will diagnose faults in lighting and power distribution, perform height-access repairs, and participate in on-call duties while maintaining safety on site.

The role requires a driving licence, NVQ L3 in electrical discipline, 18th Edition, and preferred inspection/testing qualifications. A company vehicle is provided along with training and development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Full Driving Licence with no more than 6 points.
• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Electrical discipline.
• 18th Edition qualification.
• 2391/2394 Inspection & Testing preferred.
• Able to operate SMART devices and complete electronic docs.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned and fault diagnostic work to lighting and power distribution systems.
• Work at height to maintain and repair lights in halls, lobbies and street lighting.
• Participate in the out of hours call-out rota.
• Work flexible hours to suit business requirements.
• Maintain a safe working environment for engineers, end users and the public.
• Collaborate with other engineers and site staff to arrange site access.

Job description

Overtime - time and a half in the week and Saturday until midday, double time after midday on Saturday and all-day Sunday

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out planned and fault diagnostic work to various lighting and power distribution systems


• Working at height to carry out maintenance repairs on lights in halls, lobby areas and streetlight etc. (All necessary equipment / training will be provided)


• Participation of the out of hours call out rota


• Work flexible hours to suit business requirements


• Maintain a safe working environment for yourself, other engineers, end users on site and general public at all times


• Ability to work effectively on own or as part of team to ensure we meet our client contract expectations


• To collaborate with other engineers and site staff to arrange site access to required working areas


• A flexible approach to supporting other resources as required
