Job summary

Blackpool Council is recruiting experienced Housing Enforcement Officers to join the Public Protection Team. You will carry out property inspections, investigate housing defects and licensing breaches, gather evidence and take enforcement action to secure improvements and raise standards.

The Housing Enforcement Team plays a vital role in this work, investigating housing defects and disrepair within the private rented sector and using powers under the Housing Act 2004 to secure improvements and raise standards utilising the Housing Health and Safety Rating System. Blackpool Council is looking to recruit experienced Housing Enforcement Officers to join the Public Protection Team. You will play an important role in delivering Blackpool's largest Selective Licensing Scheme, covering eight wards within Inner Blackpool.
