Job summary

Wales & West Utilities Limited is seeking an Emergency First Call Operative to join our gas emergency service delivery. You will respond to gas leaks and emergencies reported by the public, work across a 24/7 standby rota, and support safe, efficient operations across our network.

The role requires ACS qualifications, a full driving licence, and willingness to work varied shifts including weekends and evenings. You will be part of a team committed to safety and high service standards.

Qualifications

• A minimum of one ACS qualification such as MET1 & CMA1, CCN1, CMET, Appliances, etc.
• A full valid driving licence.
• Willingness to work varied shifts including weekends/evenings and 24/7 standby rota.
• Ability to work in all weather conditions and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Respond to gas leaks and emergencies reported by the public.
• Provide safe, cost-effective and efficient emergency service delivery.
• Classify and defer gas escapes, testing and diagnostic work where appropriate.
• Install, maintain, replace and remove gas meters.
