Job summary

Cadent Gas Ltd in the UK is seeking a Lead Gas Engineer for our Emergency Response team. You’ll be the first on scene, delivering expert, customer-focused service and reassuring affected households during critical incidents.

You’ll cover Huntingdonshire and Cambridgeshire, leading activities across emergency response, metering, safety inspections and network operations while upholding top safety and service standards. standby rota included.

Qualifications

• Experience in testing, purging and commissioning pipework.
• Knowledge of gas appliances, standards and health and safety.
• Clear communication in challenging emergency situations.

Responsibilities

• Respond to gas escapes and CO alarms as first responder.
• Provide reassurance and support to customers during emergencies.
• Lead safety inspections and coordinate with emergency services.
• Travel across the network to incidents.
