Job summary

Ipsum Utilities Limited is seeking a Civils Drainage Engineer to respond to drainage emergencies across the Midlands. You will diagnose faults, clear blockages, and repair drainage assets, using CCTV surveys and high-pressure jetting. The role includes excavations, reinstatement, and installing new drainage systems.

Qualifications

• Experience in the drainage industry and delivering repairs.
• Ability to diagnose drainage faults, blockages and system failures.
• Respond to emergencies within agreed timescales.
• Experience using CCTV surveys and high-pressure jetting equipment.

Responsibilities

• Respond to drainage emergencies across the Midlands region.
• Investigate faults, blockages, flooding and system failures.
• Unblock drains using rods, jetting and specialist tools.
• Repair and replace damaged pipework, gullies and manholes.
• Carry out excavations and reinstatements when required.
• Install new drainage systems and connections.
• Conduct CCTV surveys to identify defects and remedial solutions.
• Complete rehabilitation works including patch lining and pipe repairs.
• Identify root ingress, collapsed drains and structural defects.
• Produce accurate electronic reports and photographic records.
