Job summary

South Central Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust in Bicester seeks a Dispatch Support Assistant to support emergency dispatchers and maintain accurate records. The role requires IT proficiency, GCSE Maths/English, and strong customer service experience.

You will assist with coordinating vehicle movements, operate radio and CTS systems, and log information accurately while communicating clearly with colleagues and callers. Training provided.

Qualifications

• GCSE grades 4-9 or equivalent in Maths and English.
• Customer service experience from a telephone or face to face role.
• Ability to multi-task and manage competing priorities.
• Good Knowledge of geographical area.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to listen and record information accurately.

Responsibilities

• Support and assist emergency dispatchers by following their instructions and assisting with their duties.
• Assist dispatchers to ensure systems are maintained and vehicle movements can be altered if advised.
• Operate the radio and computer-assisted systems to log information accurately.
