Job summary

Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Flow Co-ordinator to support patients through the Emergency and Ambulatory care journey on the hot floor, enabling timely assessment, streaming and movement from arrival to admission or discharge.

You will lead on flow and performance, work with clinical teams to improve patient pathways, chase delays against national and local targets, and act as a central point of contact to drive timely patient care.

Responsibilities

• Monitoring time to streaming, triage and work up and escalating within agreed timeframes any delays that exceed the agreed National and Local targets
• Chasing specialities to review patients within the agreed SLA
• Chasing diagnostics to ensure they are ordered and completed/reported in good time
• Chasing results on blood tests if they haven't been returned in good time
• Ensuring quick movement out of the department when patients are allocated beds and that their space is cleaned
