Zusammenfassung

Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Clerical Officer for the Emergency Department in Basildon. The role is Band 2 with full-time and part-time contracts, working across a busy ED with a strong focus on accurate data entry and patient flow.

You will be the first point of contact for visitors, providing support to the ED team, handling sensitive information, and ensuring data protection compliance while delivering excellent customer service.

Qualifikationen

• Good standard of literacy demonstrated in the application form.
• NVQ in Healthcare or equivalent qualification.
• Experience in a busy environment and customer-facing roles.
• Administration experience in healthcare settings.

Aufgaben

• Book in all patients on arrival to ensure prompt handovers.
• Maintain clean reception and waiting areas; escalate issues.
• Answer calls, take messages and direct to NIC/PFC as needed.
• Ensure accurate patient notes and timely ambulance handovers.
