Job summary

South Central Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an Emergency Call Taker to be the first point of contact in critical moments. This on-site role at the Emergency Operations Centre in Bicester requires focus, compassion, and clear communication to support callers through life-threatening situations.

Starting at £13.17 per hour with NHS pay uplifts, you will join a dedicated team delivering rapid emergency response coordination.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ years old.
• Right to work in the UK (no visa sponsorship available).
• On-site role at the Emergency Operations Centre in Bicester; no remote work.
• Training courses available from November 2026 onwards.

Responsibilities

• Be the first point of contact for callers in emergencies and ask the right questions.
• Provide reassurance and guide callers through critical situations.
• Coordinate immediate emergency response and support families and callers.
• Work as part of a fast-paced, resilient team at the on-site EOC in Bicester.
