Job summary

Mattel UK Limited is seeking an Associate Manager to drive Retail Franchise Development across an assigned EMEA market cluster. You will translate regional priorities into local retailer stories, build partnerships, and coordinate multi-stakeholder programs from concept to execution.

The role emphasizes strong storytelling, retailer relationships, and cross-functional collaboration to accelerate distribution and growth across Mattel brands in the territory.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in retail development, licensing, commercial sales, buying, franchise marketing, or related field.
• Experience in consumer products, entertainment, licensing, or branded goods is strongly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of the retail landscape within the territory and established retailer relationships.
• Proven experience developing and presenting retail programs, joint business plans, and franchise activations.
• Experience working across cross-functional, multi-market teams in a matrix organization.
• Degree in Business, Marketing, or related discipline (or equivalent).
• Fluent English; additional languages are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the Retail Franchise Development plan for the territory.
• Translate retailer segmentation and activation calendars into market plans.
• Build annual priorities, account plans, and performance measures.
• Identify whitespace opportunities and convert insights into growth proposals.
• Develop DTR opportunities aligned with priorities.
• Identify new retail concepts and partnerships for growth.
• Maintain a robust pipeline of future retailer opportunities.
• Collaborate with country managers and cross-functional teams to deliver integrated programs.
