Job summary

Axalta seeks a Product Stewardship & Regulatory Specialist for EMEA to ensure chemical and product safety compliance across Europe, the Middle East and Africa. You’ll work with R&D, commercial, supply chain and manufacturing to keep regulatory data up-to-date and support registrations and notifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in chemistry or related field.
• 3+ years’ experience in product stewardship and/or regulatory affairs.
• Knowledge of key regulatory drivers of the global chemical industry (REACH, VOC) for both industrial and consumer markets.
• Experience interpreting regulatory requirements for chemical products.
• Knowledge and experience assigning GHS classifications.
• Knowledge and experience in SDS and label authoring/preparation.
• Ability to understand complex regulations pertaining to chemical substances.
• Excellent English communication and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor regulatory environment for new legislation affecting sale and ensure ongoing compliance.
• Audit existing formulations against regulations of current sales countries.
• Anticipate regulatory actions that could impact the business to aid planning.
• Assess regulatory conditions of new markets prior to entry.
• Monitor changes in raw material classification and formulation updates on SDS and labels.
• Ensure product labels and technical literature meet regulatory standards and that claims are data-supported.
• Respond to formulation disclosure requests from authorities.
• Maintain written procedures and work instructions for raw material processes in PSRA.
