Job summary

Axalta seeks a Product Stewardship & Regulatory Specialist, EMEA to join our UK operations at Welwyn Garden City, Huthwaite or Wellingborough. You will ensure chemical and product safety compliance across Europe, Middle East and Africa, manage SDSs, support notifications and registrations, and monitor regulatory developments with R&D, sales and manufacturing teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in chemistry or related field.
• 3+ years' experience in product stewardship and/or regulatory affairs function.
• Knowledge of key regulatory drivers (REACH, VOC) for industrial and consumer markets.
• Experience interpreting product regulatory requirements for chemical products.
• Knowledge of assigning GHS classifications.
• Experience with SDS and label authoring/preparation.
• Ability to understand complex regulations pertaining to chemical substances.
• Excellent English communication and presentation skills.
• Customer-focused, results-oriented and able to work under pressure.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Monitor regulatory environment for implementation of new legislation and ensure compliance with changes.
• Audit compliance of existing formulations against regulations of countries of current sales.
• Anticipate potential future regulatory action that could impact the business for planning.
• Assess regulatory conditions of new markets prior to entry.
• Monitor impact of raw material classification changes on SDS and labels.
• Provide input into artwork to meet regulatory standards and justify claims by data.
• Respond to formulation disclosure requests to authorities.
• Maintain written procedures and work instructions for raw material processes in PSRA.
