Job summary

Telnyx is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to work with enterprise customers across EMEA from London, Dublin, or Amsterdam. You will architect and ship production systems on Telnyx's global network spanning voice, messaging, AI, wireless, and edge compute.

You will sit at the intersection of software engineering, AI infrastructure, and customer success, deploying real-time AI workloads and leading production launches from POC to go-live.

Qualifications

• CS degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 3+ years building software, infrastructure, or technical consulting.
• Proficient in Python, Node.js, or Go.
• Hands-on production deployment of LLM apps or AI infra.
• Experience with LiteLLM or similar LLM gateway.
• Kubernetes, Docker, APIs, cloud infra, and production ops.
• Exposure to SIP, WebRTC, VoIP, real-time comms.
• Understand production AI challenges: latency, concurrency, costs.
• Ability to translate customer requirements into solutions.
• Comfortable with direct customer engagement and architecture discussions.
• Strong communication skills and London/Dublin/Amsterdam or relocation.

Responsibilities

• Embed with customers to understand requirements and AI use cases.
• Architect and build production solutions on Telnyx platforms.
• Deploy AI voice assistants, conversational AI, and LLM apps.
• Operate LLM infra including open-weight models and gateways.
• Design routing, observability, and cost strategies for AI workloads.
• Create RAG pipelines, prompts, evaluations, and model integrations.
• Deploy containerized services on Kubernetes; coordinate with customer teams.
• Troubleshoot complex issues across APIs, SIP, WebRTC, and AI infra.
• Lead discovery, POCs, pilots, and production launches from whiteboard to go-live.
• Ensure successful deployment, stabilization, and handoff to customers.
• Collaborate with Product/Engineering to improve offerings.
