Job summary

Telnyx is seeking Forward Deployed Engineers to join our European team and work directly with enterprise customers across the EMEA region to architect and ship production systems on Telnyx’s global network. You will span voice, messaging, AI, wireless, and edge compute, delivering real solutions rather than demos.

Qualifications

• CS degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 3+ years building software, infrastructure, or technical consulting.
• Proficiency in Python, Node.js, or Go.
• Hands-on experience deploying LLM applications or AI infrastructure.
• Experience with LiteLLM or similar LLM gateway, including routing, fallbacks, rate limits, and observability.
• Comfortable with Kubernetes, Docker, APIs, cloud infrastructure, and production operations.
• Exposure to SIP, WebRTC, VoIP, real-time communications, or messaging.
• Strong understanding of production AI challenges: latency, concurrency, retries, scaling, costs.
• Ability to translate customer requirements into practical solutions and lead architecture discussions.

Responsibilities

• Embed with customers to understand technical requirements and AI use cases.
• Architect and build production solutions using Telnyx platforms: Voice, Messaging, Wireless, WebRTC, AI, Edge Compute.
• Build and deploy AI Voice Assistants and LLM-powered apps.
• Deploy and operate LLM infrastructure and gateways.
• Design model routing, fallback, observability, and cost strategies for AI workloads.
• Build RAG pipelines, prompts, evaluations, and model integrations.
• Deploy containerized services on Kubernetes; collaborate with customer infra teams.
• Troubleshoot APIs, networking, SIP, WebRTC, AI inference, and infra issues.
• Lead technical discovery, architecture sessions, POCs, pilots, and production launches.
• Own customer outcomes through deployment, stabilization, and handoff.
• Collaborate with Product/Engineering to turn feedback into improvements.
• Create technical docs, runbooks, reference architectures.
• Navigate data residency, security, privacy, and compliance across EMEA.
