Job summary

CBRE Global Workplace Solutions (GWS) is seeking an Engineering Lead to manage a team responsible for mechanical operations, maintenance, energy management, and life safety across a portfolio of buildings.

You will oversee budgets, coordinate with contractors, and drive continuous improvement to maximise asset uptime and lifecycle value. The role requires 5–8 years in facilities, a degree, and strong leadership and communication skills.

Qualifications

  • 5-8 years of relevant experience in facilities/blue-chip environments.
  • Experience leading teams, coordinating operations, and driving maintenance programs.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Knowledge of MEP and life-safety systems and safety compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Provide formal supervision and coaching to staff; conduct performance evaluations.
  • Coordinate daily team activities, schedules, and cross-training across facilities.
  • Oversee operations and maintenance budgets and capital planning.
  • Recommend improvements to preventive maintenance programs and safety manuals.
  • Interface with contractors, tenants, and vendors on maintenance activities.
  • Maintain/build relationships with high-profile tenants and clients.
  • Lead development of as-built drawings and incident response strategies.
