Job summary

CBRE is seeking an EMEA Engineering Lead in London to oversee mechanical operations, maintenance, energy management, and workforce development for facilities within a portfolio. You will lead a team responsible for operating MEP and life safety systems to ensure uptime and lifecycle objectives.

The role requires 5–8 years of relevant experience, a bachelor's degree or equivalent, and strong leadership capabilities in a corporate, matrix environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred with 5–8 years of relevant experience.
  • In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
  • Chartered Engineer status will be preferable but not essential.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise staff, conduct performance evaluations and coaching.
  • Coordinate daily team activities and set schedules.
  • Manage operations and maintenance for assigned facilities and budgets.
  • Develop and update preventive maintenance and safety procedures manuals.
  • Interface with contractors, tenants, and vendors on maintenance and projects.
  • Oversee building systems and stay current with technology trends.
  • Maintain communication with tenants, clients, owners, and facility management teams.
