Job summary

Amazon Data Services UK Limited seeks a Regional Commercial Manager to provide cost support and governance for a portfolio of data center construction projects across Europe. You will validate estimates, drive value engineering, manage third-party QS, and lead cost reporting with finance and procurement teams.

In this role you will influence budgets, track performance metrics and ensure timely invoicing and close-out.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering is required.
• Experience with project controls standards and cost management disciplines is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Engaging and managing third party Quantity Surveyors.
• Validating construction cost estimates at various stages of design.
• Working with cross-functional teams (design, construction, procurement, finance and legal).
• Communicating cost control goals to stakeholders.
• Identify Value Engineering opportunities and quantify savings.
• Identify project risks and cost impacts and communicate them.
• Updating repository for historical data.
• Defining and tracking cost performance metrics and leading monthly cost reporting.
• Analyzing vendor proposals using benchmark data.
• Creating accurate bid leveling documents.
• Validating final award amount and scope based on contract documents.
• Implementing cost control, change management, progress and performance reporting.
• Validating construction change cost impacts.
• Ensuring vendor invoices are accurate and timely.
• Supporting project close-out and final payments.
• Delivering results for multiple projects with prioritized deadlines.
