Job summary

Avalara is seeking a data-driven analytics leader to serve as Head of Data and Analytics, EMEA. You’ll partner with GTM, Finance, and the global analytics function to drive sales efficiency, pipeline growth, and forecasting accuracy across the region.

This hands-on role translates complex regional data into actionable insights, forecasts, and reporting that enable predictable revenue growth. You’ll embed AI and automation into EMEA GTM processes and build scalable analytics capabilities.

Qualifications

• 7–10+ years of experience in Sales Analytics, Data Science, or Business Intelligence in a high-growth SaaS environment.
• Experience applying AI/ML techniques or AI-enabled tools for forecasting, customer analytics, or GTM optimization.
• Strong proficiency with SQL, Python or R, and BI tools (Tableau, Looker, Power BI) and familiarity with modern data stack architectures.

Responsibilities

• Own GTM performance insights, build and maintain KPI framework for EMEA sales performance.
• Develop leadership-ready analytics environments showing funnel velocity, pipeline health, and sales productivity.
• Champion self-service analytics and data democratization for the EMEA GTM organization.
• Analyze regional quota attainment and productivity trends to optimize resources and coverage.
• Partner with regional teams to translate insights into regional GTM plays and automation workflows.
