Job summary

Alloyed is seeking an embedded systems hardware engineer to design and test production controllers for Argive engines. You will refine production-ready hardware from existing configurations, focusing on reliability and adaptability across engine variants.

The role requires deep expertise in embedded hardware and firmware, PCB design, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver robust controller solutions for advanced metal components.

Qualifications

• Strong background in embedded hardware development.
• Degree in engineering with 2:1 or higher.
• Excellent understanding of PCB design best practices and layout.
• Exposure to hardware and firmware design projects.
• Effective communicator who encourages collaboration.
• Organised, self-motivated and capable of owning large projects.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop hardware for production controllers for Argive engines, including component selection, schematic capture and PCB layout.
• Rapidly implement hardware solutions for onboarding new engine ancillaries.
• Develop engine controller hardware to adapt to engines with different thrust and ancillaries.
• Contribute to testing of the controller to ensure reliability and robustness.
• Work within a fast-paced, agile development team with other engineers and technicians.
• Collaborate to solve complex problems with innovative solutions.
