Job summary

Reevr Talent Ltd is seeking a Software Manager in Weybridge to lead a small software team and blend hands-on embedded development with strategic leadership. You will shape the software roadmap and oversee delivery from concept to deployment, coordinating with hardware and engineering peers.

The role focuses on safety-critical control systems, HMI, and robust software processes. The successful candidate will combine technical excellence with leadership, ensuring compliance with stringent safety

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading software development teams and delivering complex technical projects.
• Strong embedded software development experience.
• Experience developing software for embedded control systems.
• Solid understanding of software architecture, system integration and HMI development.
• Experience working with Agile or Scrum methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Lead the software team, providing technical direction, mentoring and performance development.
• Develop and maintain embedded software for complex electronic control systems.
• Define the long-term software architecture and technical roadmap.
• Establish coding standards, software development best practice and robust engineering processes.
• Oversee the full software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering through to deployment and commissioning.
• Work closely with Hardware, Product and Engineering teams to ensure seamless system integration.
• Develop intuitive human‑machine interfaces (HMIs) and robust control software.
• Maintain and enhance existing software platforms while supporting future product development.
• Investigate and resolve software issues, ensuring safe and reliable solutions for customers.
• Support production, service and manufacturing teams with software‑related issues.
• Manage project plans, resources, budgets and delivery milestones.
• Identify technical risks and implement effective mitigation strategies.
• Drive continuous improvement across software development processes and team capability.
