Job summary

Unify is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer in Cambridge to design, develop and deliver robust embedded software across diverse platforms. You will define architectures, implement high-performance code and integrate interfaces and APIs for safety-critical applications.

You will contribute to automated testing, CI/CD pipelines and software release infrastructure, while supporting accreditation efforts and the full lifecycle from concept to deployment.

Qualifications

  • Strong embedded C/C++ and/or Rust development experience.
  • Experience developing software for safety-critical or highly regulated systems such as aerospace or automotive.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Ability to obtain UK SC Clearance for the role.

Responsibilities

  • Define embedded software architectures in collaboration with the wider engineering team.
  • Develop high-performance, deterministic and well-tested embedded software.
  • Define interfaces between software components, including APIs and communications protocols.
  • Develop and improve CI, automated testing and software release infrastructure.
  • Support the development of software towards formal accreditation and certification.
  • Contribute to the full software development lifecycle from concept through deployment.
