Job summary

Unify is seeking an experienced Embedded Software Engineer to contribute to high-performance, deterministic software across aerospace and defence applications. You will help define architectures, interfaces and robust systems used in safety-critical environments.

You will work with across the engineering team to drive automated testing, CI/CD and release pipelines, supporting formal accreditation and certification efforts while delivering end-to-end software across the lifecycle.

Qualifications

  • Strong embedded C/C++ and Rust development skills.
  • Experience developing software for safety-critical or highly regulated systems (aerospace, automotive, medical).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Ability to obtain UK Security Clearance (SC) for the role.

Responsibilities

  • Define embedded software architectures in collaboration with the wider engineering team.
  • Develop high-performance, deterministic embedded software across platforms.
  • Define interfaces between software components and APIs; specify communications protocols.
  • Improve CI, automated testing and software release infrastructure.
  • Support software towards accreditation and certification processes.
  • Contribute to the full software lifecycle from concept to deployment.
