Job summary

Unify is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer to design, develop and deliver robust embedded software across multiple platforms, collaborating with engineers to define architectures and interfaces for high-reliability systems.

The role spans the full lifecycle from concept and prototyping to deployment, with emphasis on safety-critical environments and formal accreditation processes.

Qualifications

• Strong embedded C/C++ and/or Rust development skills.
• Experience developing software for safety-critical or highly regulated systems such as aerospace or automotive.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Define embedded software architectures in collaboration with the wider engineering team.
• Develop high-performance, deterministic and well-tested embedded software.
• Define interfaces between software components, including APIs and communications protocols.
• Develop and improve CI, automated testing and software release infrastructure.
• Support the development of software towards formal accreditation and certification.
• Contribute to the full software development lifecycle, from initial concept and prototyping through to deployment.
