Job summary

Flannery Plant Hire (Oval) Ltd. is seeking an Implant Hire Controller to be embedded with a customer team.

The role is remote with occasional travel to Rushden and Wembley offices, managing day-to-day hire requests, deliveries, collections and equipment movements. You will liaise with Flannery’s Operations, ensure inspections and maintenance are arranged, and keep accurate hire records while upholding health and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a similar role within the plant hire industry.
• Strong organisation and planning skills with the ability to prioritise multiple hire requests.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building to work within a customer’s team.
• Knowledge of plant and equipment types, specifications and uses.
• Familiarity with health and safety regulations in plant hire.
• Proficient in plant hire software and systems.
• Self-motivated with strong attention to detail and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Act as day-to-day contact for Flannery Plant Hire, coordinating hire requests, deliveries, collections and equipment movements.
• Work with the customer’s team to understand project plans and plant requirements, confirming equipment and timings.
• Liaise with Operations to confirm availability and allocation, and coordinate inspections and maintenance.
• Complete delivery/collection notes, safety certificates, purchase orders and related documents on time.
• Manage hire queries and complaints, escalating when necessary.
• Provide updates on hire activity, equipment availability and maintenance needs.
• Follow health and safety requirements and customer site procedures when coordinating hires.
• Maintain records of hire activity, equipment specs and hire agreements.
• Coordinate equipment mobilisation/demobilisation with customer and Operations teams.
• Identify improvements to coordination, communication and processes.
