Job summary

Avalara, Inc. is seeking a Director of Finance & Strategy for the ELR product line. You will drive ELR P&L, growth strategy, and operating rhythm, while also providing FP&A support to EMEA Sales leaders across the region.

The role requires strong financial modeling, cross-functional partnership, and experience with SaaS finance. A MBA or CFA and international experience are preferred. This is a high-visibility leadership position with potential bonuses.

Qualifications

• 10-15+ years of FP&A, corporate strategy, or product-line finance.
• Direct finance partner to a GM, product leader, or regional leader preferred.
• Strong financial modeling and driver-based forecasting ability.
• Experience applying AI tools to accelerate modeling and analytics.
• SaaS or high-growth tech experience strongly preferred.
• MBA or CFA preferred with finance/accounting focus.

Responsibilities

• Act as primary finance partner to the ELR GM, embedded in strategy and reviews.
• Own ELR financial plan, forecast, and long-range model including bookings and ARR.
• Partner on pricing, monetization, expansion, and investment prioritization.
• Build KPI framework for ELR and translate into executive narratives.
• Lead monthly/quarterly business reviews and advise on investments.
• Support M&A, market sizing, and regulatory-driven demand analysis.
• Represent ELR in Avalara’s FP&A and Vista reporting processes.
