Job summary

Webster & Webster Associates seeks a skilled Field Applications Engineer to support mission-critical embedded systems. You will design proof-of-concept solutions and bridge product engineering with customers to drive successful deployments.

Responsibilities include leading solution design, delivering demos, providing pre- and post-sales support, and shaping roadmaps based on customer feedback. This role requires travel to client sites and strong communication skills to succeed.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in embedded systems or field applications engineering.
• Strong C/C++ skills and device-driver experience.
• Unix/Linux internals and RTOS knowledge.
• Hands-on experience with ARM, x86, and PowerPC architectures.
• Excellent troubleshooting and customer-facing communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop deep technical expertise in company software platforms and embedded systems.
• Lead solution design and architecture consulting for customer projects.
• Deliver technical demos and proof-of-concept systems.
• Provide pre-sales and post-sales technical support.
• Travel to customer sites as required.
• Assist in professional services engagements and technical documentation.
• Support marketing with white papers and event demos.
• Advocate for customer requirements to inform product roadmaps.
