Staffline in Cardiff is seeking an Elite Retail Security Officer to join our team. The role demands a professional background in retail security, loss prevention, and shrinkage reduction within busy environments, with a strong emphasis on customer service and proactive theft prevention.

You will maintain a highly visible security presence, prevent theft, and support loss prevention strategies across multiple sites.

Qualifications

• SIA SG or DS licence required.
• Minimum 3 years’ retail security experience.
• Experience in loss prevention or store detective work.

Responsibilities

• Act as a highly visible security presence to protect colleagues, customers, stock, and company assets
• Proactively identify and prevent theft, fraud, and stock loss
• Support the delivery of store loss prevention strategies and contribute to shrinkage reduction
• Monitor and respond appropriately to suspicious activity and security incidents
• Conduct investigations and gather relevant information relating to theft and loss prevention incidents
• Produce accurate and detailed incident reports using digital reporting systems
• Build positive working relationships with store management and retail teams
• Ensure all site security procedures and client requirements are followed at all times
• Respond effectively to emergencies, incidents, and fire evacuation procedures
• Conduct staff and contractor searches where required and authorised
• Maintain professional standards of appearance, conduct, and customer service at all times
