Job summary

Asda is seeking a Retail Relief Security Officer to cover Cardiff region, working across multiple store sites with shifts as required. You will deliver a visible security presence and support store operations while upholding standards and KPIs.

You will protect customers, colleagues, stock and assets, deter theft, monitor CCTV where applicable, and complete incident reports. SIA licence is essential.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in retail security or loss prevention.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to remain calm and professional in challenging situations.
• SIA Licence (Security Guarding) – essential.
• CCTV SIA Licence – desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide a highly visible security presence on the shop floor.
• Deliver excellent customer service by assisting customers.
• Work with store management to support operations and respond to incidents.
• Monitor activity to identify suspicious behaviour and prevent loss.
• Carry out regular patrols of the sales floor and stockrooms.
• Manage conflicts professionally and with a customer-first approach.
