Job summary

Bristol City FC. is seeking a dedicated Player Care Manager to support the First Team and emerging talent within a high‑performance environment.

You will coordinate daily welfare needs, manage emergencies, and ensure a seamless transition for new players into Bristol City FC. You will build strong relationships with players and families, oversee housing and travel logistics, and work with external agencies to meet welfare requirements.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years’ experience providing tailored operational or individual support within elite sport, a high-performance environment or a similar industry.
• Proven ability to take ownership of complex operational activity, coordinating internal and external stakeholders, domestic and international travel, matchday requirements and associated logistics.
• Excellent organisation and administrative skills with strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
• Clear and effective interpersonal and communication skills, with sound judgement, discretion and cultural sensitivity when supporting players, families and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Support the design, development and implementation of an integrated Club approach to Player Care in working with relevant staff in the Player pipeline.
• Resolve issues promptly while implementing proactive measures to prevent recurrence.
• Respond to out-of-hours issues and emergencies on an ad hoc basis.
• Lead on providing each new First Team player with a bespoke welcome, including a training ground tour and introductions to key staff.
• Build relationships with players and families and coordinate appropriate support throughout the player's journey.
• Support First Team, PDP & emerging talent players with lifestyle assistance, housing, visas, language lessons and bill payments.
• Establish relationships with external agencies to manage housing/vehicle arrangements and related requirements.
• Attend home and some away matches to provide in-person support and assist on matchdays.
