Job summary
Schindler Ltd (Ireland) seeks a skilled Lift Installation Technician to install shafts, traction equipment and doors across new build, refurbishment and modernisation projects. You will work on-site in County Down, NI, and contribute to safe, compliant installations.
You will conduct pre-commissioning, site surveys and liaise with customers and inspectors to ensure timely delivery and high quality standards.
Qualifications
- NVQ Level 3 in Lift Installation or equivalent qualification.
- Experience installing lift equipment in new installation, refurbishment or modernisation projects.
- Knowledge of lift testing, commissioning or acceptance inspection processes.
- Full driving licence valid for use in Ireland and a valid Safe Pass.
Responsibilities
- Install lift shafts, mechanical components and ancillary equipment per procedures and safety rules.
- Assemble traction equipment and align lift systems.
- Install and tension lift suspension ropes and safety devices.
- Install lift doors, frames and entrance systems with safety devices.
- Carry out final installation checks and pre-commissioning activities.
- Conduct site surveys to support project delivery.
- Monitor progress and report hours and issues affecting delivery.
- Build positive relationships with customers and site teams.
